2nd Annual Upasika Renewal

Ajahn Sudanto and monks from the Pacific Hermitage will be joining the Portland Friends of the Dhamma community for the weekend of April 19-21. We are especially blessed to host our second Annual Upasika Renewal Day, open to EVERYONE! Details on participating and volunteering will be posted soon.
Friday, April 19
Evening with Ajahn Sudanto and Pacific Hermitage Monks
5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tea and Dhamma discussion
7 p.m. Meditation, Dhamma reflection and questions
Saturday, April 20
Traditional Alms Round, Meal Offering and Potluck
10:20 a.m. Alms Round
The Venerables will be receiving food directly into their bowls starting at 10:20 a.m. at SE Hawthorne and 50th. They will be walking on the north side of the street, heading west, arriving at PFOD by 11 a.m.
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meal offering, potluck and conversation
If you would like to bring food or drink to offer and share, please try to arrive by 10:45. After the food offering is made to the monks, we will be invited to partake in the meal ourselves and stay for questions and conversation.

Sunday Sila and Annual Upasika Renewal with Ajahn Sudanto and Pacific Hermitage Monks
10 a.m. Meditation and Dhamma Reflections
11 a.m. Meal offering from kids group and potluck
12:30 p.m. Clean-up
1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Topic: “Refuge, Precepts and Faith”
We will take the five precepts for lay people together and then listen to Dhamma reflections and engage in conversation around the topic. A more detailed schedule will be posted soon.
