Drop-in Silent Meditation Daylong Monday Aug. 5
Portland Friends of the Dhamma is pleased to offer a drop-in silent meditation daylong for anyone in the Dhamma and wider community. All meditators are welcome, regardless of tradition or affiliation–feel free to join any part or all of the day. This offering is in person only.
Please arrive BETWEEN formal meditation periods to settle in and hold the space for silence and stillness during each meditation. While anyone is welcome, this is NOT a beginner’s event and there will be no formal or guided meditation instruction. A leader will be available to offer guidance and answer questions as needed. There is no fee for the event, and donations are gratefully accepted to support future events and programs like this one!

9:10-10:10 a.m- Sitting meditation/Second period
10:20-11:20 a.m. Sitting or walking meditation/Third period
11:30-12:15 a.m. Sitting meditation/Fourth period
12:20-1 p.m. Mealtime
1:10-2:10 p.m. Walking meditation/Fifth period
2:20-3:20 Sitting meditation/Sixth period
3:30-4 p.m. Sitting or walking meditation/Seventh period
4-4:45 Open time for personal reflections
