Planned Giving

Have you thought about Planned Giving? You can help secure PFoD for future generations. Name Portland Friends of the Dhamma in your will or living trust, or as a beneficiary of your IRA, retirement plan, life insurance, brokerage or bank account. We can provide some sample language that may help you and your attorney address your goals. Please contact us with any questions.

Give at Work

Consider Workplace Giving. Designate Portland Friends of the Dhamma as the recipient of your paycheck donations. This is a terrific way to give stable funds for PFoD.

Does your employer offer a Matching Gift program? Matching Gift programs are a type of corporate philanthropy in which companies financially match donations of their employees to nonprofit organizations. Typically after you make a donation, you request a matching gift from your employer, who then makes one of their own. Ask your employer if they will match your donations to Portland Friends of the Dhamma.

Donating Investments

Do you have investments that have increased in value? Would you like to donate those appreciated securities to PFoD to reap tax savings and maximize your donation? Start a Donor Advised Fund as a way to move those investments into charity, then set up a grant or monthly grants from your fund to PFoD.

Thank you for considering Portland Friends of the Dhamma in your charitable giving. Anumodana!
