Supporting This Place of Refuge

Anjali Hands

Dear Friends,

Portland Friends of the Dhamma can offer priceless teachings because people like you have been inspired to give. This mutual support is truly vital and beautiful and without it this place of spiritual refuge would not exist. We invite you to support this urban refuge and make a donation today. Simply visit Network for Good to make a one-time or monthly donation.

“I know for me personally, it wasn’t until we found a community with PFoD that I truly felt settled in Portland (after 12 years or so of already living here!) and felt I had the spiritual support to grow my family. I can’t wait to watch our little one grow up surrounded by such wonderful people and spiritual teachings.” — Katharine Quince

With your support we will continue to bring esteemed teachers this coming year, such as Luang Por Sumedho in July, Luang Por Pasanno and Ajahn Geoff (Thanissaro) in the Fall, and Ajahn Sudanto throughout the year. And right now your gift can go even farther:

A Challenge from PFoD Community Members Greg and Adrienne
What we each give supports this community to take root. We are all the founding generation and our donations have a huge impact. This inspires our family’s support and this challenge: We are giving $1,000 to this appeal. We will give $1,000 more for each of the NEXT FIVE people that raise their annual gift to $1,000.

You can donate now or arrange for it monthly at Network for Good. If five people join us, we can kick off this annual campaign with $11,000! It is wonderful how this center has blossomed. Purchasing a building was an act of faith in support to come. We are inspired to provide some of that support. We hope you will join us. — Greg Satir and Adrienne Fuson

This past year has brought a significant increase in classes, volunteers and public participation. To sustain this growth we anticipate our 2017 budget will increase by over $10,000. Please donate today and help ensure that we can fund these offerings and complete much needed improvements. Among other plans we aim to boost our children’s area with proper storage and add more suitable and comfortable meditation chairs to our Shrine room.

For all of the ways that you take advantage of our urban refuge and participate in the support of our community, thank you.

With gratitude,

Sakula Mary Reinard,
Spiritual Director
